Research Interests

Dr. Hussain’s research focus is on targeted drug delivery in cancer and other diseases.  Research area includes nanoparticles, microspheres, in-situ implants, liposomes, formulation development, bioavailability and pharmacokinetic studies. Dr. Hussain’s laboratory is also involved in research on the role of progesterone and anti-progesterone in cancer, pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics of drug-drug and drug-herb interactions, and effect of microgravity on the cardiovascular and cellular function.
